Gentlemen,
Attached are photo's of the
installation.
At this moment the XL-12000
is coming back to ULS. The Z axis is not working.
This engraver had several
issues:
A) 1st servo CPU
board had no Y axis motion
B) 2nd servo CPU
board had no Y or Z axis
C) 3rd CPU board had
X and Y but no Z axis and then the system showed that there was no CPU and the
hard drive was replaced. Tried other board but no motion on the Z
axis.
The 9200 is running jobs
smoothly so far.
A) There appears to be a
spurt of max power every so often while engraving in vector mode, about every 2
inches.
B) The display has a flash
that occurs every 45 seconds
C) the table was
raised into the arm and then tried to home while auto focusing the system and
having the cutting table installed. The arm had to be
re-squared.
XL
recommendations:
1)
Quick connect for leads
to CPU 48 volt power
supply.
2)
Quick swap Hard Drive mount
3)
Driver issues -
a. Items on border
or off page – Give bad file error instead of HW error, or specify the error
encountered instead of locking up engraver.
b.
Color issues - Color error instead of HW error or having
engraver lock up and have to be rebooted.
Other issues –
Autofocus does not detect cutting table: Cutting table was not installed in
on-system menu but was installed in the engraver. Show a warning when auto
focusing with a forced acknowledgement.

Greg Simon
