The following steps will help you utilize the beam alignment feature of your laser system. 

 

1. Uninstall current VL software by following these steps:

a. Close the VCP (green diamond program) 

b. Start > All Programs > Versa Laser > Uninstall 

c. Reboot PC

 

2. Install the Driver located in the zip file named “VersaLaser130.zip”

            a) To install extract the zipped file to your desktop and rename it to VersaLaser130.exe

            b) Double Click to run File.

 

3. Open the new Versa Laser Driver and turn on the machine. 

 

4. With the machine on click on the setup tab. Once in the setup tab click “Launch” under Alignment Mode.

 

5. While in Alignment Mode, Click the center “move” button and the machines arm will align itself in the middle. 

 

6. Set the power to 6% and the time to 1 second. 

 

7. Close the top door and press the Activate Laser button. 

 

8. Check burn mark. If centered check alignment in lower right hand corner. If not centered adjust mirror and restart at step 7.

 

9. Once the testing has been completed follow the outlined steps below to reinstall the printer driver. 

 

a. Navigate to and access our FTP site via the attached PDF.

 

b. Once on the FTP site, click on the "Printer Drivers All Systems" link.

 

c. Next click on the appropriate link for your model engraver:

 

1) VL200 & VL300 SYSTEMS:

2) Click on the "Drivers_VL200_VL300" link.

 

3) Click on the executable "ulsinst-1.30(32and64-bit).exe" link and accept the download to your desktop.

 

4) Click on the "VL Printer Driver Installation.pdf" and save this to your desktop.  Use these instructions to install the new driver.
